Description of the activity:

Day 1: Presentation of team members and accompanying teachers.
Visiting the host school.
Interrelation activity between students and teachers to facilitate knowledge and communication.
The presentation by each visiting team of students of different types of accommodation in their country/region.
After the presentation they will work in mixed groups formed by 1 member of each country and exchange information.
Then the following city's economic objectives will be visited: Tirnavos winery, an oil mill.
Day 2: The Greek student team will present the accommodation types in their country / region. Will be visited then two luxury hotels - 4 and 5 stars.
Students will take pictures and be informed what the superiorities of such type of hotels are. They will then visit a pottery.
Day 3: The teams will travel to Meteora and at least two guest houses. They will take pictures and find which the differences for between them and luxury hotels are. The participants will find out about the specificity of ecumenical accommodations. They will see how icons are done.
Day 4: The participants will visit 2 stars hotels and touristic apartments in Larisa. They will talk with owners or staff about the administration of a touristic facilities. Visit at Folklore Museum.
Day 5: The teams will be organized in 5-6 working groups, each realizing the graphic and verbal presentation of a type of accommodation. Finally, all presentations will be put together in a brochure. They will use for this computers.
Also it will be filled a journal with individual impressions about the visit and the activities.
Throughout these activities, pupils will exercise their communication skills in English and use the information about different types of accommodation to do a collective work.
They will use their own knowledge of the housing conditions and will conduct an economic analysis of the relationship between the price and the advantages of accommodation, will use computer working skills.
Students will made a PowerPoint presentation (or similar program) of different types of accommodation, using pictures taken by them in visiting those accommodations in three tourist locations, as well as their personalized verbal descriptions and impressions. Accommodations will be classified according to tourism standards, conveying economic analysis data, highlighting the relationship between the price and the advantages offered by each level of quality of tourist services, as they are seen by the eyes of the children.

The 5th Primary School of Tirnavos Greece created an electronic magazine that includes the tourist guide of the accommodations we visited as well as the impressions of our partners from their visit.
